MTC News Release January 2008
For over forty years, Fibermold, Horizon Fiberglass, and now Tufport™, has been a proud manufacturer of the highest quality canopies, commercial slide-in units, and the only government compliant roll-over Mobile Treatment Center and Emergency Transport Vehicle off-road ambulances.
We have taken the next step towards making our Medical Tufport™ units even better. In response to your requests, we have redesigned and enhanced our product with innovative features to specially suit you needs.
The first adjustment that we made to our units improves the overhead storage cabinets. Our new cabinets are made with a molded composite rather than fibre board. This not only makes it lighter and easier to clean, but impeccably durable. The new cabinets also have a sanitary white gelcoat finish and an upgraded locking mechanism.
Our second modification was to re-align the interior grab handle on the door. It is now positioned horizontally so you can effortlessly close the door from inside. This reposition is more practical and efficient.
Our most important alteration to the unit was modifying the left interior squat bench to incorporate another oxygen tank. There is now space for an oxygen tank to be placed on both sides of the attendant’s seat. Oxygen tank brackets are now available as an option. The brackets allow the E and M oxygen tanks to be mounted vertically.
To make first aid more comfortable, we have also upgraded the attendant’s seat. The attendant has a vinyl seat with five different positions for full lumbar support.
The final change Tufport™ has made intentionally for safety reasons was to further develop graphics for visibility. It is very important that the emergency vehicle can be readily identified in all weather conditions.
Although we have made a few new advancements here at Tufport™, one thing that has not changed is our commitment to excellence in our products and service. We will continue to expand our knowledge to serve you better.
